These classes, held in the same location as our regular workshops, offer a fresh structure and a deeper dive into specific topics. Taking place during the week, each session lasts only an hour or two, making it easy to fit into your busy schedule. Some classes even follow a progressive format, allowing you to build upon each session. Typically, these classes consist of just 4 sessions. Join us for a truly fulfilling experience - not only will you have fun and learn, but you'll also leave with more than what you came in with!

To join any of the Arduino Uno micro-controller sessions, it is essential for all participants to bring their laptops. This will enable them to code their Arduino projects using the C++ language. To have the necessary software, please make sure to download the Arduino IDE Software before the class. You can find the download link right here: https://www.arduino.cc/en/main/software.  The First Session(July 7th) will primarily focus on configuring the software and settings to facilitate seamless Arduino coding experiences for everyone, encompassing tasks such as LED blinking and utilizing a DC motor.  Subsequently, the ensuing classes will commence the construction process. Session 2an incredible creation awaits you: a ferris wheel constructed using a cutting-edge stepper motor technology and equipped with convenient push buttons. Prepare to be amazed as you embark on a thrilling ride unlike any other. Session 3the other arm will have a servo motor and a potentiometer input. Session 4You will discover how to construct a catapult equipped with a range sensor! Caz, a cherished companion and seasoned presenter at our establishment, possesses a profound passion for do-it-yourself projects. She takes pleasure in imparting her extensive expertise in micro-controller integration!

Mechanical / Robotics Classes with Nolan Dunne

Nolan is set to leverage our Tamiya kits available at the store for constructing a compact robotic drive-train! Each participant will have the opportunity to assemble their own diminutive (resembling a book in size) drive-train in the company of fellow enthusiasts.

Bill Werzner offers a wide range of electronics classes for students of all levels.

The Houston Vintage Radio Association (H.V.R.A.) President, Bill Werzner, along with his colleagues, will be leading these introductory electronics classes that cover the fundamentals of electronic components and gradually progress to more advanced circuitry. Rest assured that the content of these classes will be unique and tailored to provide a distinctive learning experience.

We have a maximum capacity of 10 individuals per session, and seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Our team is actively monitoring the current situation, ensuring we stay informed about social situations and safety measures. This is why we have implemented a limit on the number of participants per session. If, for any reason, we need to cancel or relocate a session outside the building, we will gladly reimburse your ticket upon request.

All our summer courses are highly engaging and interactive! Certain courses will involve assembling and retaining parts worth approximately $100. If the course necessitates building materials, you will have the opportunity to acquire all the essential items from our store. The overall expense of each "hands-on" course will fluctuate based on the components utilized and the decisions made by participants regarding the completion of their projects.

There is no obligation to attend every session, it is acceptable to skip one session and still participate in others.
